The U.S. Plastics Pact brings together businesses, not-for-profit organizations, research institutions, government agencies, and other stakeholders who work together toward a common vision of a circular economy for plastics, as outlined by the Foundation’s New Plastics Economy Initiative. The U.S. Pact aims to have 100% of plastic packaging be reusable, recyclable, or compostable by 2025. In line with this target, the U.S. Pact is advancing reuse in several areas, including by amplifying existing resources on reuse design, aligning around policies which enable reuse in the U.S., and supporting reuse innovators directly through the U.S. Pact Reuse Catalyst program in an effort to boost collaboration and fill critical knowledge gaps across sectors.
