Summary

Loop and Tesco collaborated to launch Reuse Stations at 10 Tesco stores in the Midlands, UK in September 2021. At the Reuse Stations, shoppers could access over 88 unique products in reusable, refillable packaging. When purchasing a Loop product, customers temporarily pay a 100% refundable deposit, and can return the packaging once empty to a Loop drop-off point located at the Tesco store, or at any participating Loop drop-off location in the UK. Once returned, Loop then professionally cleans the packaging for reuse. Participating brands included Tesco's own brand, as well as Quaker, Finish, Coca-Cola, Meridian, Persil, Heinz, Carex, and many more. Tesco teamed up with Loop in support of the company's plan: Remove, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. Further information can be found here.

Goals and Impact:

Loop is building a scalable reuse ecosystem that enables our brand, retail, and restaurant partners to create alternatives to single use disposable products and packages, creating less waste and reducing overall environmental impact. Loop's central objective is to enable citizens to buy anywhere and return anywhere, making reuse just as convenient and accessible as single-use is today. Join us in building a global circular economy, and be part of our vision for a waste-free world.
