Loop and McDonalds have partnered since 2021 to pilot McDonalds first-ever reusable system for to-go hot beverages. This unique partnership conveniently allows customers to reduce waste by choosing a durable Loop cup, for a small deposit. Customers are also rewarded with a discount on their purchase when choosing the Loop cup. Once finished, customers can return their empty cup to Loop return points at the participating McDonalds UK restaurants or another participating Loop drop-off location in the UK (i.e. Tesco). The empty cups are then safely washed through the Loop system and reused again in McDonalds restaurants.
