Loop has teamed up with five local Burger King restaurants in the UK, to offer customers the opportunity to purchase menu items such as sandwiches, soft drinks and coffee served in durable, reusable packaging. Customers simply order their favorite Burger King items in the durable Loop packaging and when finished return it to the Loop Return Point at the restaurant or another Loop drop-off location in the UK to be professionally cleaned for reuse. Customers will be charged a small deposit upon purchase at the restaurant, and a refund is given after the empty container is returned to a dedicated Loop Return Point. Burger King and Loop have also teamed up with The Coca-Cola Company and The Kraft Heinz Company on this initiative, in a joint effort to tackle disposable packaging in quick service restaurants.
Goals and Impact:
Loop is building a scalable reuse ecosystem that enables our brand, retail, and restaurant partners to create alternatives to single use disposable products and packages, creating less waste and reducing overall environmental impact. Loop's central objective is to enable citizens to buy anywhere and return anywhere, making reuse just as convenient and accessible as single-use is today. Join us in building a global circular economy, and be part of our vision for a waste-free world.
